The Financial Alliance for Racial Equity (FARE) sought to bring together prominent Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in the DMV area for a live event at Howard University. The event featured a career fair and breakout sessions for HBCU students, alumni, and Black professionals looking to explore the opportunities available in the financial services industry.

The Challenge

FARE’s goal was to foster discussions about financial practices, policies, and innovations that champion racial equity. Given the event’s significance, FARE required an experienced partner to manage all marketing, communications, and event production elements.

Our Solution

Black Digital designed a unique brand identity for the HBCU Live Event that reflected FARE’s essence and the significance of financial equity. Our work included a logo design, event color schemes, and thematic elements.

Black Digital also developed a user-friendly, mobile-responsive event website with details, speakers, schedules, and online registration capabilities. Our approach ensured a seamless registration process for attendees.

To advertise the event, Black Digital set up a media center to manage press releases and media inquiries, ensuring prominent event coverage in local and national outlets.

At the event, Black Digital organized a team of professional videographers and photographers to capture the essence of the event. This not only helped to document the day’s proceedings but also provided content for future promotional efforts.

The Results

Because of Black Digital’s efforts, the event witnessed high attendance and participation from several renowned HBCUs in the DMV area. Attendees praised the seamless event experience, from online registration to on-ground management.

Black Digital’s media relations efforts ensured that the event received extensive coverage, furthering the mission of FARE and amplifying the importance of racial equity in finance. In addition, the videography and photography assets have since been used for multiple purposes – from post-event recaps to promotional materials for future events.
