Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council

Background

TBRPC is dedicated to serving citizens of the Tampa Bay area and member governments by providing a forum to foster communication, coordination, and collaboration. Black Digital began working with TBRPC in January 2023.

The Challenge

The TBRPC website lacked functionality and did not serve as a resource for community members. The homepage of the website was congested with postings for upcoming events and press releases in a way that was difficult to navigate. The website, as well as the logo, also featured an outdated design.

The Solution

We created a wireframe that streamlined the overall navigation experience. By combining existing pages, we greatly improved navigation without decreasing the amount of content. The scope of TBRPC’s work is broad, and it was important to include all the necessary detail but in a more intuitive and consumable way. We also created a versatile logo that could easily be used for different marketing materials.

Results

We updated the TBRPC website with streamlined wireframes and a different logo and color palette to make the site more user-friendly. The new logo has elements of the original but is now more recognizable and colorful. Our front- and back-end development ensured that the site was launched without issue and that interactive features loaded quickly. Additionally, TBRPC team members can easily update and manage the site.
