Overview

The March On! Festival is a national celebration of storytelling, justice, and culture, honoring the legacy of the civil rights movement through film, art, music, and dialogue. The 2025 Festival, held from September 15 to 21 in Washington, D.C., brought together filmmakers, activists, artists, students, and community leaders for a week of screenings, panels, and performances that highlighted untold narratives and contemporary movements for equity.

Challenge

The 2025 March On! Festival required careful coordination amid shifting timelines, evolving programming, and a newly introduced event structure that included paid sessions. Many decisions and content pieces were finalized near key deadlines, resulting in a compressed production schedule. The Festival’s scale, combined with ongoing adjustments, made it essential to maintain clear communication, stay organized, and move quickly while keeping creative quality consistent across all materials.

During the Festival period (July 1–Sept 30, 2025), March On!’s social media performance saw significant growth across nearly every metric compared to the previous quarter:

  • Audience grew by 21.7%, increasing from 19,631 to 23,893 followers.
  • Net audience growth rose by 69.2%, jumping from 2,520 to 4,264 new followers.
  • Impressions increased by 74.3%, rising from 1.3M to 2.28M.
  • Engagement volume grew by 94.1%, increasing from 2,858 to 5,543 engagements.
  • Video views reached 370,499, representing a 34.4% quarter-over-quarter increase.
