GDUSA presents awards to Black Digital for its graphic-design efforts during GDUSA’s 60th anniversary
Washington, DC, May 12, 2023 — Black Digital, a Black-owned creative studio providing best-in-class marketing support to government agencies and non-profit organizations, received recognition from the Graphic Design USA (GDUSA) organization during GDUSA’s 60th-anniversary celebration. Black Digital was awarded for its graphic-design efforts in a series of email, marketing, and social campaigns made on behalf of its clients Upwardly Global and The Executive Leadership Council.
GDUSA is a source of news and information for graphic designers and the broader creative community. Its annual awards are a prestigious recognition of excellence in digital design, given only to those who have demonstrated talent, innovation, and creativity in their work. Black Digital is proud to have been recognized for its efforts in creating impactful and engaging campaigns.
“We are honored to receive these awards from GDUSA,” Black Digital CEO and Founder, Mike Utaebulam said. “We strive to create campaigns that represent our mission to create a positive social impact, and these awards are a testament to our team’s hard work and dedication. More importantly, I am proud to support Black designers and give them the platform to hone their skills in a welcoming environment.”
Black Digital prides itself on supporting mission-based organizations, and its promotional efforts with Upwardly Global supported its 2022 Upwardly Global Gala. Through Black Digital’s efforts, Fortune 500 executives and media personalities made up the sold-out attendance of over 400 guests, allowing the organization to proudly raise nearly $1 million to help shape an inclusive workforce for immigrants and refugees. For The Executive Leadership Council, Black Digital launched a Women’s History and Black History Month Social Campaign that increased awareness and amplified Black voices across all experiences and identities, from the boardroom to the big screen, in authentic and genuine ways.
