National Society of Black Engineers: Using one brand system to run 20+ convention deliverable categories

Overview

Under the theme “Advancing S.T.E.M.,” the 2026 Annual Convention needed one recognizable identity that could support months of promotion, several audience journeys, regional communications, sponsor outreach, registration, and a large onsite experience.

Black Digital developed the convention’s core visual identity and theme execution, built a complete suite of editable digital, print, presentation, and environmental assets, delivered regional decks, social content, email banners, signage, and badges, and maintained operational consistency across 20+ deliverable categories. A convention this size needs a brand system flexible enough to support sponsorship materials, audience-specific promotion, chapter outreach, and onsite wayfinding without ever feeling fragmented, and it was built with that range in mind from the start.

• More than 1,200 hours logged across the NSBE relationship, spanning this brand system and the convention website covered separately

A national STEM convention represents NSBE to sponsors, chapters, and thousands of attendees at once. This identity system let the organization show up consistently everywhere that mattered, without managing a fragmented set of one-off designs.
