Overview
The Museum needed a flexible identity system to communicate its work clearly and remain consistent across the channels its team uses to reach the public, one that could feel credible to historians and accessible to the general public at the same time.
Black Digital developed brand strategy and identity direction, built graphic design standards for social media and public materials, and delivered guidance for consistent use across channels, built with that dual audience in mind from the start. This brand work sits alongside the year-round digital publishing system Black Digital built for the Museum (see related case), giving the identity a consistent home to live in once it was delivered.
A cultural institution’s brand shapes how seriously the public takes its work. This identity gave the Museum a consistent presence worthy of its historical mission.
