HBCU SpringComing is the largest HBCU alumni festival in the country, founded by HBCU graduates Lauren Grove and George A. Peters II. What began as a post-church reunion concept grew into a multi-city celebration of Black excellence, collegiate pride, and cultural connection that has raised over $500,000 in scholarships over a decade. Black Digital was brought in to build the festival website, run paid advertising to drive attendance, and manage social media during live events.
The festival needed a digital presence capable of capturing the energy and culture of the SpringComing experience while clearly communicating event information, ticket access, and programming across multiple cities. Driving traffic through paid media and managing real-time social engagement during live festival activations added additional layers of execution complexity.
We designed and built hbcuspringcoming.com to serve as the primary hub for event information and ticket sales. Targeted paid advertising campaigns were deployed to generate traffic and drive ticket conversions, and the social media accounts were managed in real time during festival activations to keep the audience engaged and informed throughout each event.
Successful digital launch supporting one of the country’s largest HBCU cultural events, with paid campaigns driving measurable traffic and ticket activity throughout the festival season.
